About Us
Connect Force is Alternatives, Inc’s Hip Hop Arts program. We work with young people from ages 8 to 24 offering academic support, life-skills workshops, mentoring, and Hip Hop Arts instruction. Our staff encourage participants to explore the Hip Hop Arts as a means of self expression and support their growth as leaders in their communities.
During the school year, Hip- Hop Activities for run 5 days a weekm in Uptown! Our program runs Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays @4730 N. Sheridan Rd. and Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays at our partner location, Kuumba Lynx in Clarendon Park, 4501 N. Clarendon.
Fall Programming will be @ Alternatives, Inc for 3 days a week!
Tue. @ Alternatives, Inc. – 3pm to 8pm (Hip-Hop Instruction); (open practice)
Thursday @ Alternatives -3-8pm ( Hip-Hop Instruction, open practice)
Sat. @ Alternatives, Inc. – 12pm to 4pm (Open recreation)
Beginning in the fall, adults 18+ will have to donate a dollar a session to attend. Ask us about membership fee’s to get access to practice 5 days a week, with discounts to all events!
Our Teen Reach program will gear up in September in providing FREE programming for youth 8-18 throughout the year! The Connect Force youth program includes snacks, academic enrichment/ tutoring, life-skills, mentoring, and Hip- Hop recreation!
